LOS ANGELES – The teenager had left a rumpled mound of warm-up gear at the bottom of his locker, a black leather backpack tossed on top. Prior to the Lakers’ 101-97 preseason loss to Denver on Friday, a crisp Lakers jersey hanging from a hangar was the only familiar sight in the space.
Except this was No. 14, not 24.
Luke Walton spotted Brandon Ingram sitting in the back corner of the Lakers locker room and asked him if he knew who his new locker used to belong to.
“He said someone told him,” Walton said.
