No, Woj didn’t report that LeBron James and Paul George are ‘planning’ to talk about teaming up on the Lakers

On Tuesday night, social media was ablaze with discussion over LeBron James and Paul George joining the Los Angeles Lakers in free agency, and while that might not have been atypical for Lakers Twitter this season, the reason for the firestorm was different this time.

Instead of just random fans thirsting for more rumors about the two superstars potentially joining up in L.A., this time things were triggered by something Adrian Wojnarowski said on ESPN. This in and of itself wasn’t abnormal (Woj is as likely as anyone to kick-off these discussions based on how plugged in he is around the league), and the tweet that seemed to blow up social media was this one:

Woj: LeBron James and Paul George will have a conversation about teaming up together in Los Angeles closer to July.
