In possibly the least surprising NBA news of the year, the league has fined Nick Young, D’Angelo Russell and Greg Monroe for their roles in the altercation that saw all three get ejected from the Los Angeles Lakers’ loss to the Milwaukee Bucks Friday.
According to Tania Ganguli of the Los Angeles Times, Young was fined $25,000 while Russell was docked $15,000. Monroe took the biggest hit, receiving a $35,000 for shoving Young after he retaliated against Malcolm Brogdon for a hard foul.
Lakers head coach Luke Walton was critical of referees and Bucks security that intervened in the fight in a rollercoaster ride of a postgame rant, but Ganguli reports he will not be fined for his remarks.
