NBA Free Agency: Lakers pick up team option on Robert Sacre

The Lakers are keeping Robert Sacre around at a price too low to refuse.

The Los Angeles Lakers are looking for additional frontcourt talent in free agency, but they've also decided to hold onto some of the depth left behind. The Lakers will pick up the $981,348 team option on the final year of Robert Sacre's contract, reports Shams Charania of Real GM.

In June it was reported the Lakers' plan was to retain Sacre going forward. He's a capable end-of-the-bench big who comes at a price tag the Lakers essentially couldn't refuse. For less than $1 million they'll hold on to a big man without any health problems that can soak minutes, grab a few boards and is mobile on defense.
