NBA executives aren’t happy with lottery results but Magic’s dancing on them

The Los Angeles Lakers landed the No. 2 pick in the NBA Draft for the third year in a row, and some rival NBA executives aren’t happy it seems. Maybe it’s the Boston Celtics, another major market team, landing the No. 1 pick while the team gets set to battle the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals that’s ruffled their feathers.

Or perhaps it’s the Philadelphia 76ers’ process landing them another top pick, in another large market, that’s not sitting well with them. Maybe it’s a combination of all three things, but ESPN’s Brian Windhorst is reporting that a “sampling of NBA execs” he’s reached out to aren’t thrilled with how the lottery results unfolded:

Based on sampling of NBA execs I've been in touch with, I wouldn't say these lottery results are being well received in league.
