MIAMI –The stories flowed out of the Miami Heat as quickly as it takes Kobe Bryant to take a shot. They told them out of fascination, admiration and dread.
“All bad memories,” said Heat guard Goran Dragic, aware that matching up with Bryant usually meant a disastrous outcome for his opponent.
Bryant dashed Dragic’s dream to reach the 2010 NBA Finals when the Lakers’ star unloaded a 37-point performance in Game 6 against the Phoenix Suns that clinched the 2010 Western Conference Finals. Bryant scored nine points in the last two minutes. He made a seemingly impossible 23-foot fadeaway over former Suns forward Grant Hill with 34 seconds remaining.
