Magic Moments Among SI's Greatest In Sports

With a name like "Magic," you're bound to be a part of some special moments.

According to Sports Illustrated, Lakers legend Magic Johnson was at the focal point of two of the greatest in any sport.

On Tuesday, the magazine published its "100 Greatest Moments in Sports History," and both of the Lakers' selections centered around Johnson.

Ranked 66th was the game where the future Hall of Famer showed that he was on the path to becoming one of the most versatile players the game has ever seen. MVP Kareem Abdul-Jabbar did not travel with the team to Philadelphia for Game 6 of the 1980 NBA Finals, instead staying back in Los Angeles due to a sprained ankle.
