Luke Walton adds Jud Buechler to the Lakers' coaching staff

The Lakers have hired Jud Buechler as an assistant coach, according to Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times.

Like Lakers head coach Luke Walton and assistant coach Jesse Mermuys, Buechler is a product of the University of Arizona.

Buechler, 48, played in the NBA for 12 years, including stints with the New Jersey Nets, San Antonio Spurs, Golden State Warriors, Chicago Bulls, Detroit Pistons, and Orlando Magic. He won three NBA Championships with the Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen-led Bulls, and was best known for his shooting ability, as he was a career 36.
