The Los Angeles Lakers had Lady Luck on their side during the NBA Draft Lottery. The 2019 Draft Lottery was an eventful event that saw not one, but three teams, jump into the Top-4.
Although the Lakers moved up from the No. 11 projected spot all the way to the No. 4, the New Orleans Pelicans were ultimately the winners of that night, nabbing the No. 1 pick and clearing the way to draft Duke phenom, Zion Williamson.
Perhaps the bigger story for the Pelicans isn’t the chance to land a potentially once-in-a-decade kind of player, but more so what they can do with their other once-in-a-decade player in Anthony Davis.
