The Los Angeles Lakers knew that they were going to have to address their backcourt sooner than later. When Nick Young opted out of his contract, there was a sliver of hope that he would return to the purple-and-gold. That sliver of hope is now gone.
The Lakers officially have a hole at shooting guard as Young has decided to move on. Young has agreed to a one-year deal with the Golden State Warriors.
Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports that Young and the Warriors agreed to a one-year, $5.2 million deal. The Warriors will be using their full tax payer mid-level exception to sign Young.
