LOS ANGELES -- Lakers forward Carmelo Anthony suffered a strained right hamstring in the second quarter Thursday night against the LA Clippers and was ruled out of the remainder of the game.
Anthony missed a 13-foot jump shot with 1 minute, 40 seconds remaining in the first half and winced on his way down after the release. On the Lakers' ensuing defensive possession, Anthony motioned for a substitute and immediately retreated to the locker room when Lakers coach Frank Vogel called timeout to bring Stanley Johnson in for him.
He finished Thursday's game with seven points on 2-for-4 shooting in 11 minutes.
