The Los Angeles Lakers didn’t have a great opening night, as they lost to the LA Clippers, 112-102. It was a disappointing start to the season, but they wasted little time bouncing back.
In their home opener against the Utah Jazz, the Lakers got their first victory of the season. Los Angeles won the game 95-86 behind their stingy defense as they locked in on that end of the court all night.
The Lakers held Utah to 42 percent shooting from the field and 33 percent from the 3-point line. The most impressive number for the Lakers on defense was the number of turnovers forced.
