As the start of the NBA’s free agency period on June 30 approaches, there are whispers that the Los Angeles Lakers will be looking at certain players. One of them is a former Laker who donned the purple and gold very recently: D’Angelo Russell.
He was the No. 2 pick in the 2015 NBA Draft after showing lots of promise in his lone season at Ohio State University, averaging 19.3 points and 5.0 assists per game while shooting 41.1 percent from 3-point land. Star-starved Lakers fans welcomed him with open arms and expected big things out of him.
