Isaiah Thomas’ run with the Los Angeles Lakers was a short one, (pun intended) but he did have his bright moments last year. His best moment on the court for the Lakers perhaps came against the Denver Nuggets, the team that just signed him.
Thomas had 23 points off the bench against Denver and 12 of them came in the fourth quarter to lead the Lakers to a big victory.
That could be a reason why the Nuggets decided to ink Thomas to a one year deal for the veteran minimum next season. They also, presumably, brought him in to be a scoring threat for them off of the bench, something he was successful doing with the Lakers last season.
