The Los Angeles Lakers are one of the more storied franchises in all of sports and they are the only NBA team to have won a championship in five separate decades. Yet, even though they won a championship this decade the 2010s were easily the most futile decade in Lakers history.
Prior to this decade, the Lakers only missed the playoffs five times in their history, but in the 2010’s they missed the playoffs six straight years in a row from 2013 to 2019.
Despite that, this decade was not all bad. After all, they won the first championship that was given out during the decade, something six NBA teams have never done in their history.
