SAN ANTONIO >> A mere two days after their gut-wrenching overtime loss to the San Antonio Spurs in Game 2 of their Western Conference playoff series, the Clippers on Friday donned their uniforms to take on the Spurs in Game 3 tied 1-1 in the best-of-7 first-round matchup.
Clippers coach Doc Rivers said at the morning shootaround he was not worried about the mental state of his players, but perhaps they were more hungover from that Wednesday setback than Rivers thought. With recently crowned Defensive Player of the Year Kawhi Leonard demonstrating he is more than a one-trick pony, the Spurs blasted the Clippers 100-73 before 18,581 deliriously happy fans at AT&T Center to take a 2-1 series lead.
