LAS VEGAS — Another day, another pair of sneakers … and another win.
For the second night in a row, Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball took the court in something other than his signature shoes then led the team to a 94-83 victory over the second-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers in an NBA Summer League tournament second-round game on Thursday night at Thomas & Mack Center.
Ball, 19, created a social media firestorm on Wednesday when he wore a pair of purple Nike Kobe A.D.s instead of his Big Baller Brand ZO2s in a 103-102 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.
