It may have taken eight seasons, but LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers showed mutual respect for each other after 11 seasons together.
During the 2010-11 NBA season as a member of the Miami Heat, James was booed throughout the game in an experience he ‘will never forget.’
However, as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers, James was honored with a tribute video and standing ovation early in the first quarter.
Following the 109-105 win, James appreciated the reception from the Cavaliers and their fans, according to Jeff Zillgitt of USA Today:
“To come here tonight and go out and hear the fans’ reception — 11 years playing here,” James said.
