LeBron James is used to being a part of marquee NBA nights, but according to Sam Amick of USA Today, he and the Los Angeles Lakers won’t play on opening night (Oct. 16). That honor will go to the Philadelphia 76ers, Boston Celtics, Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder.
Kevin O’Connor of the Ringer reports that the Lakers will actually start their season two days later, on the road against the Portland Trail Blazers.
