SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Byron Scott has preached defense almost every day since being hired as Los Angeles Lakers coach last summer.
But in his first season at the helm, the Lakers were terrible defensively, ranking 29th out of 30 teams in defensive efficiency.
And so far this season, the Lakers are picking up right where they left off.
Through two games, the Lakers have allowed 244 total points, including 132 in a humiliating 18-point loss Friday to the Sacramento Kings at Sleep Train Arena.
