It's no surprise Jonathan Holmes was cut, but one more player must go.
The Los Angeles Lakers have waived undrafted prospect Jonathan Holmes, the team announced in a press release. This move brings the Lakers' roster down to 16 players, leaving one final cut before they are at the maximum allowed roster size. The Lakers will continue paying Holmes, however, while the former Texas Longhorn rehabilitates a dislocated right shoulder.
One player must go, and most anticipate it will come down to either Jabari Brown or Metta World Peace. World Peace has been an influential mentor on the roster, working closely with Julius Randle and adding another veteran into the fold to help guide the youth movement.
