The good vibes of a nice win over the Oklahoma City Thunder didn’t last long as the Los Angeles Lakers were dropped back to reality in a 149-106 blowout loss to the Golden State Warriors. The Lakers were without D’Angelo Russell — who is expected to miss a few weeks after undergoing platelet rich plasma therapy on his sore left knee — and Julius Randle, on the second half of a back-to-back, and looked as vulnerable as expected under those conditions.
The Warriors wasted no time, slamming the Lakers in the first quarter with 41 points. The purple and gold tried to fight back, cutting the massive deficit they found themselves in by halftime down to 12 points, but Golden State charged through the end of the third quarter and waltzed to the finish line.
