The Los Angeles Lakers notched their first home victory of the season, beating the Detroit Pistons in a 97-85 slogfest. Kobe Bryant couldn't get his shots to drop, but he flirted with a triple-double with 17 points, eight assists and nine rebounds in 35 minutes.
Kobe struggled from the field, shooting 6-of-19 on the night and missing three of his four three-point attempts. Still, he hit a shot from deep in the fourth quarter that helped ice the Pistons through the final stretch of the game. Bryant tried to find other ways to contribute, too, and was particularly great at moving the ball with a handful of reads that were incredible.
