The Lakers steamrolled Maccabi Haifa.
The Los Angeles Lakers obliterated Isareli club Maccabi Haifa, leading by as many as 51 points before ending the game with a 126-83 victory. It was a dominant performance from several players, adding up to an impressive first preseason win for the purple and gold. D'Angelo Russell made his return after missing time with a bruised glute and immediately made an impact for a Lakers' offense that was humming.
Russell's Staples Center debut went wonderfully, with the rookie dishing out 11 assists. He hit shooters in rhythm, made some amazing individual passes and ran the offense beautifully as he got back into action.
