The Los Angeles Lakers managed to hang on to notch their first preseason victory in a 75-69 win over the Sacramento Kings in Las Vegas. What was a hot start for the Lakers became a sloppy second half, but solid play through the final 12 minutes let the Lakers pay a visit to the win column.
It was Julius Randle who led the scoring charge, unseating Kyle Kuzma for the first time through exhibition. Randle finished with a double-double, scoring 17 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Coincidentally, he did so while playing off the bench.
