The Los Angeles Lakers provided fans a great third quarter but little else in a Xx-Xx loss to the Sacramento Kings. The Kings were sans DeMarcus Cousins but mostly ran the scoreboard on the purple and gold in their Las Vegas preseason debut. Anthony Tolliver scored 21 points — draining all seven of his three-point attempts — while Sacramento shot 58 percent as a team.
D’Angelo Russell had a comeback performance after struggling against the Portland Trail Blazers. He dished out nine assists while going five-of-six from deep on his way to 31 points. Julius Randle pulled down 10 rebounds to go with five assists, mostly to the tune of Nick Young three-pointers.
