Brandon Ingram’s triumphant return was spoiled by the Los Angeles Lakers’ cold shooting in a 109-99 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday.
The Lakers were favorites heading into the game, as the Grizzlies were without their star point guard Mike Conley, as well as a few key role players in JaMychal Green, Brandan Wright and Wayne Selden Jr., but from tip-off, it was clear it wasn’t their night.
Los Angeles shot well below 40 percent from the field as a team, starting the game shooting 1-for-10 and digging into a 12-4 hole immediately.
