The Los Angeles Lakers will meet their intercity rivals, the Los Angeles Clippers, for the first time this season on Christmas Day. The matchup will be the last of the loaded Christmas slate. Both teams find themselves in unfamiliar territory going into the holiday matchup, with Kobe Bryant playing in his final Christmas Day game.
The Lakers are 5-24 and heading toward the worst single-season record in franchise history. While the team wasn't considered a contender, it certainly expected to have more than five wins this late in the year.
