The Los Angeles Lakers had a prime opportunity in front of them, but a lethal dose of Lou Williams would be too much in a 120-115 loss to the LA Clippers. The Lakers’ former Sixth Man of the Year candidate decided to drop 42 points on his old team, carrying the banged-up Clippers out of STAPLES Center with the win.
Blake Griffin was his usual productive self, adding in 26 points, 11 rebounds and six assists. He was also forced to leave the game early after suffering a not-so-good looking knee injury, but even the absence of Griffin wasn’t enough to clear a path to victory for the Lakers.
