Lakers vs. Clippers Final Score: Lakers drop season opener 108-92, disappoint out of the gates

The Los Angeles Lakers season started with a loss after a disappointing 108-92 loss to the LA Clippers. The purple and gold had no answer for Blake Griffin, who scored a game-high 29 points, and were reminded that it’s going to take more than positive vibes to climb the Western Conference.

The Lakers looked exactly like the young, inexperienced team they are. Lonzo Ball’s debut wasn’t the memorable christening of the new franchise star many had hoped for, scoring just three points with four assists and nine rebounds on the night.

The Clippers comfortably led by 20 points by the time the game reached the fourth quarter, leading their “hallway rivals” steadily through most of the night.
