The Los Angeles Lakers made it four in a row after hanging on to a 108-103 victory over the Chicago Bulls. Despite the Lakers inabiilty to make a three-point shot — shooting 20.8 percent from beyond the arc — they overcame their perimeter deficiency even with Lonzo Ball remaining sidelined.
The Lakers nearly blew this one, giving up the lead late in the fourth. The purple and gold led by as many as 17-points, but a late-game charge from Chicago put the Lakers on their heels. To everyone’s shock, the Lakers’ free-throw shooting came up big for them through the final minutes, with the team making an astonishing 12 of their 15 attempts from the line in the final frame.
