With his and-1 layup in the second quarter, James passed his childhood idol, Michael Jordan for fourth on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.
“This ranks up there at the top [with] winning a championship,” James said. “I mean, for a kid from Akron, Ohio, that needed inspiration and ended some type of positive influence, MJ was that guy for me.
“I watched him from afar. I wanted to be like MJ.
