In one of the more intense, entertaining and thrilling Summer League games you’ll see, the Lakers outlasted Cleveland 112-109 in double OT on Monday night in Las Vegas to advance to the championship game for a second straight season.
It was the first game in Vegas that the 6-0 Lakers didn’t dominate for four quarters, as the teams exchanged blows throughout in a nail-biting contest that produced 16 lead changes and 13 ties before L.A. finally made more plays in double OT.
“We just have guys that want to win and compete,” said coach Miles Simon. “(That) want to be out there on the floor.
