The Lakers added some outside shooting with the 34th pick of the 2015 NBA Draft by selecting Stanford wing Anthony Brown. The 6-foot-7, 211-pound Fountain Valley native ranked 10th in the Pac-12 in scoring last season (14.8 ppg), and hit 44.6 percent from 3-point range over the past two years.
“First and foremost, I’m a high-IQ basketball player,” Brown said after his Lakers workout on May 28. “I believe I’m a great shooter. That’s probably the No. 1 thing that I hang my hat on: shooting the basketball. And then I’m gonna defend you. Basically I’m a ‘3-and-D’ player, which is an evolving position in the league.
