The Los Angeles Lakers are in an interesting spot in their first season with LeBron James. The team remains right in the thick of the Western Conference playoff race, but still has some obvious flaws that need to be addressed.
However, Lakers president of basketball operations Magic Johnson and general manager Rob Pelinka want to preserve salary cap space for 2019 free agency. The Lakers have been linked to a couple of big-name stars via trade as well, including Anthony Davis.
But what the team is willing to give up in a trade right now is unknown.
