A pair of second-overall draft picks are set to compete with the NBA's top young talent, as D'Angelo Russell and Brandon Ingram will represent the Lakers at Friday’s Rising Stars Challenge.
This is the latest honor for the duo, which also suited up for the 2016 U.S. Select Team at USA Basketball training camp. They hope to have similar career success as the eight Lakers before them, who combined for 23 All-Star sections and 15 championship rings.
Nick Van Exel (1994)
At the inaugural Rookie Challenge in Minneapolis, Van Exel couldn’t find his way onto the scoreboard, missing all eight of his shots for the Sensations team.
