LOS ANGELES -- Before Sunday night's game against the Detroit Pistons at Staples Center, Los Angeles Lakers president and co-owner Jeanie Buss presented personalized Lakers jerseys to the three Americans who thwarted a train terrorist attack in France in August.
Anthony Sadler, a lifelong Lakers fan, wore a Lakers shirt on the day that he and his two friends tackled and subdued a gunman aboard a high-speed passenger train bound for Paris.
"A lot of people felt that Anthony was a Lakers employee," Buss said. "Lakers nation felt very connected because wouldn’t it just be like someone involved with the Lakers to step out and be a leader?
