Lakers preseason game with Warriors called off in third quarter due to 'unsafe' wet floor

SAN DIEGO -- The Lakers exhibition game against the Golden State Warriors was brought to a premature end with 2:16 left in the third quarter after multiple stoppages due to wet spots on the court.

Warriors guard Leandro Barbosa slipped, the fifth such instance in the game, leading referees to confer with coaches. Referee Brian Forte told the scorers' table, "It's unsafe."

The Lakers led 85-70 at the time.

An ice hockey rink under the court at Valley View Casino Center caused condensation on the court that led to the wetness.

The game was stopped in second quarter after three instances of players slipping on the Warriors end of the court, and one of a player slipping on the Lakers' end of the floor.
