EL SEGUNDO, Calif. -- Only one game into his career and the No. 2 overall pick D'Angelo Russell already has his first change. After playing off the ball at the start of their season opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday, Russell will operate more as a facilitator moving forward, Los Angeles Lakers coach Byron Scott said.
"We had [Russell] handle the ball more in third quarter and second half," Scott said after practice on Thursday. "And then today what we worked on was really getting Jordan [Clarkson] off the ball, because he is an attack guy.
