Although LeBron James and Dwyane Wade were both selected in the 2003 NBA Draft, the two came into the league as slightly different players.
James was selected with the No. 1 pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers straight out of St. Vincent-St. Mary High School while Wade was selected with the No. 5 pick by the Miami Heat after two seasons at Marquette
A few years older, Wade had college basketball experience under his belt that James did not. This experience benefited him early as Wade was able to lead the Heat to a championship in his third season while James was reaching the playoffs for the first time in his career.
