With 2019 NBA All-Star Weekend here, Kyle Kuzma and the Los Angeles Lakers find themselves out of the Western Conference playoff race as they are currently 10th.
The Lakers have largely struggled on the defensive end, which is not surprising given that Lonzo Ball has been out with an ankle injury he suffered against the Houston Rockets.
With only 25 games remaining in the 2018-2019 NBA season, Los Angeles will need the rest of their young core to step up in Ball’s absence. Kuzma has turned himself into the team’s clear-cut No. 2 option behind LeBron James and will most likely need to continue his hot streak if they have any hope of making the playoffs.
