The Los Angeles Lakers have signed Jamil Wilson to play for their Las Vegas Summer League team, according to Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders. Wilson spent the the 2015-16 season with Texas Legends of the NBA D-League after being waived by the Dallas Mavericks at the end of the team's training camp.
Wilson, who went undrafted in the 2014 NBA Draft after three seasons at Marquette following a transfer from Oregon, averaged 15.2 points and 5.5 rebounds per game for the Legends last season. Wilson also proved himself a capable three-point shooter, knocking down 38.6 percent of his three-pointers over the course of the 2015-16 campaign.
