LOS ANGELES — The Lakers expect reserve forward Larry Nance Jr to be out for the next four weeks after a team physician diagnosed him on Sunday with a bone bruise in his left knee.
According to the Lakers’ timeline, Nance will miss the next 13 games and could return as early as Jan. 22 in Dallas. While Nance has averaged seven points on 58.4 percent shooting and 5.5 rebounds, the Lakers have also valued Nance for his energy, defensive presence and leadership.
Nance has missed the past three games, including Sunday’s contest against the Clippers at Staples Center, after injuring his knee in last week’s loss in Charlotte.
