The Los Angeles Lakers had one of the best offseasons in the entire sport. Rob Pelinka and co. had an incredible showing during NBA free agency and the result is a roster that is even better than last year’s Western Conference Finals-reaching team.
Some great things broke the Lakers’ way as well. No team offered Austin Reaves a sizeable contract to make the Lakers pay more and D’Angelo Russell didn’t have a market, reducing his price in the process.
Perhaps the biggest steal of the offseason was Taurean Prince, who the Lakers signed with the Bi-Annual Exception shortly after he was released by the Minnesota Timberwolves.
