After the Lakers lost all but three of their first 20 games, it was apparent changes were needed. Safe to say removing the two most prized members of the Lakers young core from the starting lineup was not what most fans were hoping for.
Julius Randle and D’Angelo Russell were relegated to the bench for the first time this season, but both thrived in their new roles as the Lakers put forth a promising effort before losing 102-93 to the Toronto Raptors at Air Canada Centre. .
Randle finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds, his ninth double-double of the season and fifth in his last six games.
