It was a scary scene in Las Vegas, NV on Thursday night as the athletic second-year forward went up attacking the rim and ultimately took a rough fall to the hardwood that left him clutching his wrist before walking back to the locker room.
The initial fear out of Los Angeles was that the the former Wyoming Cowboys forward has fractured his right wrist and the way he landed plus numerous reporters seemed to confirm those reports. However, good news (or at least slightly better news, I suppose) was on the way.
Though Nance is indeed hurt, the MRI and exam from the Lakers team doctor on Friday revealed that there was actually no fracture or ligament damage in Nance’s wrist and the the forward would have a much shorter timetable for his return.
