AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Kobe Bryant walked slowly to the locker room. The Lakers’ guard had nursed a stomach issue in the past day that initially left his playing status in doubt for when the Lakers (3-15) play the Detroit Pistons (11-9) on Sunday at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
But Bryant soon determined he felt healthy enough to play.
“Knowing him,” Lakers coach Byron Scott said,. “he’s always one of those guys that wants to give it a go.”
Yet, it remains unclear how close Bryant will play his 31.6 minutes per game average through 16 appearances.
