Lakers’ Kobe Bryant sits out second half vs. Denver with sore right shoulder

DENVER — The Lakers held out hope that five days of rest would ensure Kobe Bryant to offer some glimpses of his former self. Instead, Bryant lasted only 11 minutes in Wednesday’s game against the Denver Nuggets at Pepsi Center after experiencing more soreness in his right shoulder.

Bryant logged five points on 1 of 2 shooting, two rebounds and one assist in 11 minutes in what marked his final game here. The Lakers then ruled Bryant out of the second half in what marked his final game here.

Bryant also missed the Lakers’ past two home games against Memphis (Friday) and Brooklyn (Tuesday).
