NEW YORK -- The ball kept swishing into the net as Lakers backup guard Jose Calderon took shots from around the perimeter. The ball kept banking into the basket as Lakers backup forward Tarik Black worked on his hook shots.
Those images marked the latest progress as Calderon (right hamstring) and Black (right ankle) remain sidelined with injuries, including when the Lakers (10-17) visit the Brooklyn Nets (6-17) on Wednesday at Barclays Center. Lakers coach Luke Walton left open the possibility both Calderon and Black could begin practice as early as Thursday in Philadelphia as preparation for Friday's game against the Sixers.
