Lakers Injury Update: Moe Wagner ruled out for Las Vegas Summer League, Lonzo Ball supposed to be ‘100 percent’ by training camp

Over the last 24 hours, the Los Angeles Lakers have provided injury updates on both Lonzo Ball and Moe Wagner, ruling the latter out for the remainder of Las Vegas Summer League with a left knee contusion (Wagner also has a sprained ankle), while general manager Rob Pelinka said that Lonzo Ball should be ready for training camp.

Wagner injured his knee in the second quarter of the Lakers’ Tuesday night win over the New York Knicks, and an MRI confirmed the contusion on Wednesday. On Tuesday night, Miles Simon revealed the initial diagnosis of the injury, and it seems the Lakers’ training staff didn’t see anything new when re-evaluating Wagner on Wednesday, which is good news long term even if in the short term it makes the Lakers last few games in Las Vegas less meaningful.
